    Who we are...

    About Gossett Nursery:

Gossett Brothers Nursery is a family-owned and operated local landmark that has been serving the community for over 25 years.  You’ve probably seen our quaint gray cottage as you’re passing by on Route 35 in South Salem—during the growing season we’re hard to miss because the lush colors of the flowering plant displays spilling out in front of the nursery truly are show-stopping.
The retail nursery offers a stunning seasonal array of container trees, shrubs, perennials and annuals, as well as a custom container service and a beautifully stocked greenhouse.  We can promise you that we have plants for everyone, from the novice gardener to the connoisseur.
If you’re shopping for balled and burlapped trees and shrubs or have a large landscape project in mind, owner Tom Gossett has the vision, the expertise and the machinery to handle most any on-site installation. Here at Gossett’s we’re all about providing you with a great shopping and learning experience.
We offer a series of free “Gardening 101” classes for new gardeners—but we also strive to provide shoppers one-on-one with as much information about our products as they need.  Please browse through our new website to learn more about our staff, plant offerings, and on-site tree and landscaping services as well as our educational and community programs.
We at Gossetts Nursery are your neighbors, we live here and work here, so we have a good idea of what you’re looking for in your hometown garden center:  exceptional service and a great selection of premium plants at fair prices. Many of our customers tell us that the Gossetts staff is the friendliest and most knowledgeable in the area; we hope you’ll visit us and tell us about your experience here.
    About Gossett's Farm Market.
As most of you know, a Garden Nursery is a seasonal business and for the last few years Tom Gossett, owner of Gossett Brothers Nursery, was looking for ideas to enhance the Nursery’s role in the  community during the long winter months,  when the Nursery is normally closed.
Pat Imbimbo, Owner of New England Farms, managed a small farmers market that was looking for a location that could host a farmers market year round. As fate would have it, Tom bumped into Pat, and in the fall of 2008, Gossetts Farm Market was born.
The market runs year round, with seasonal vendors coming and going. In the Spring, Summer and early Fall you can find the Market outside tucked into the Nursery, and surrounded by the lush and colorful plant offerings from Gossett Brothers Nursery.
In the late Fall and Winter, the Market moves into the Gossett garage, warmed by a wood burning stove and the winter sun (the garage is just a really big greenhouse). Aromas of pies, homemade breads, hot cider  and other treats fill the Market. Patrons are kept warm and dry as they enjoy the offerings of the only year-round farmers market in the area.
At the Gossett’s Farm Market you’ll find the fresh organic food from our vendors,  free food samples from our Chef Demos and local talent who love to share their passion in whatever art, craft or discipline they specialize in.
So come visit us, the Market runs every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. rain or shine.
We know that there are several different Farmers Markets you can visit, and we thank you for choosing Gossetts Farm Market.
If you have any suggestions or ideas on how to make the Market even better, feel free to leave a comment below.  If your a vendor and would like information about joining the Gossetts Farm Market or if you are a patron and you have any general questions about the Market, call Jan Laquidara at 914-763-3001
